Nigerian Law School Releases 2018 Bar Final Results, Records 161 Candidates with First Class, the Best Ever!

The much awaited results of Examination the Bar Final which was conducted in August were released on the Thursday, 18th of October. The results released by the Nigerian Council of Legal Education recorded the highest success rate since its inception.

It was reported that 5,846 students participated in the examination with 4,633 (79.25%) candidates successful, 218 (3.73%) candidates with conditional pass, 965 (16.5%) candidates failed which left 30 (0.51%) candidates absent.

According to the Result sheet signed by the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN, a remarkable number of 161 (2.75%) candidates graduated with a first class, 695 (11.88%) candidates were graded in the Second Class Upper Division, 1,276 (21.83%) candidates were graded in the Second Class Lower Division and a total number of 2,501 (42.78%) candidates were also graded with Pass.

Legal pages observes that the record number of first class candidates was remarkably high compared to the previous record number of 29 in 2017. The Call to Bar Ceremony has been dated to hold on November 27th, 28th and 29th in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
